Cateye Strada

Does anyone know if you can adjust the number of decimal places on a Cateye Strada? I've just got one, after my VDO C2 gave up the ghost, and it only shows average speed as (say) 18.6mph rather than 18.65mph. It's a small thing, I know, but I got a kick out of seeing it slowly heading in the right direction...as it is I have to work much harder to see any change. How shallow am I??

If there's no way of changing it, perhaps I'll just need to readjust myself and my geeky obsession with bettering my av speed!

Hi, no it's not possible to adjust the number of decimal places on the computer.

However if you are really that concerned with it, you could type the distance and time values into this calculator for a more precise average:

Would it really be necessary though? I can hardly detect a 0.5mph change in speed let alone 0.05 - a single traffic light would probably change the figure!
  • I know, it's completely irrational, and unnecessary: it was more to give me a sense of progress. Thanks for the link!

Progress should only be measured in integers...

...you're obviously not on the same plateau as me...
