Customer Services at it's worst

I had the misfortune recently to require expert help and information on a replacement rear frame section for my Ellsworth Truth. This meant calling Freeborn Bikes for assistance as they are the only importers of Ellsworth in the UK.
All of the staff at Freeborn were friendly and very helpful just as you would wish for, that is apart from the owner of Freeborn Bikes Paul. His attitude was aggressive, confrontational and staggeringly bad for someone who works and owns his own business within a service industry. I am a very mild mannered person who was merely asking his advice on what I should do and what my best options were. When I questioned him on why he had such a bad attitude towards me he hung up the phone.
Has anyone else had the misfortune to deal with this person? I use the term person as the term I wanted to use would set off too many mail filters.
