Hi
I'v got a Saracen Mantra 1 and i was going to change the chainset. i dont know what size of bottom bracket to get because you can get different sizes. i was also wandering if a cup bb would fit aswell. thanks

The bottom bracket depends on what chainset you want to fit. So look at the chainset, and see what is recommended! Some even come with the BB!0

yeah but is it like one size fits all frames for the bb?0

For older cartridge type bottom brackets (ie ISIS, Octalink, Square taper), they come in two shell widths - 68 and 73mm. You need to measure the BB shell width of the frame. Axle length is dependant on chainset.0

Just get a good ruler and measure under the frame (bottom bracket shell!)
What cranks are you looking at?0 -

see a bought a bike which a loved the frame but all the components are rubbish so i am gradually upgrading0 -
The latter has an integrated BB, so don't have to worry - will fit.
As does the Shimano SLX and Deore.
Need to face the frame though.0
