fork problem, z1 light

right well my 'zocchi z1 light eta have been a bit troublesome of late. When the forks are compressed they rebound quickly as if the rebounf isnt kicking in then it does with what can only be described as a tapping noise. the rebound damping does still work btu this "taping out" noise and the general feel just aint 100%
Does anyone have any idea what this could be due to?? too much/little oil? damping cartridge damaged??

what year? what travel 130 or 150?

they are 2006 i think and they are 150mm, i serviced them at the start of the summer new seals, oil etc and have been working fine until the last few weeks!0
