Specailized toup saddle rails?

Hi.I have just bought a lovely new bike and it came with a specialized toupe gel saddle which is agony to sit on after about 20 miles.Anyway,according to all the websites it comes with hollow titanium rails only and yet mine has chromoly rails.Can anyone explain this because they don`t seem to sell a cheaper version?

yep there are 3 toupes
1)toupe chromoloy on budget bikes such as langster
2)toupe ti (the one you were talking about) 155g
3)toupe ti gel 205g.

As far as comfort goes i found the same when i started riding in dec 07 so used alias saddles instead. I now have an alias on my hack, 1 on my langster, 2 on my race machine and 3 on my sportive bike. So either my arse has toughened up or they are now set at the correct height and i now ride correctly!

The Toupe (Ti, 155mm wide, non-gel) is just about the only saddle I've ever found comfy.

It`s not exactly a budget bike so I would have expected ti rails.It is the gel one though.I`ll be replacing it with a fizik arione which is so much kinder to my butt.
