I'm going with Valverde because of what David Millar said and the type of squad Spain have got.
Freire will win it though if he manages to hang on to the end, but I don't think he will.
So my pick is:
Alejandro Valverde0 -
Are you doing Women's race too?
If so can I have
Emma Johannsson
For the men's
Fabian Wegmann

Watching the women's race and the U23s, it doesn't seem too hard after all, and with this as a lead-out train: Gilbert-Nuyens-Van Avermaet, worth a (risky) bet. So, there we are:
Men's RR: Tommeke0 -
-
Paolo BettiniWinner: PTP Vuelta 20070
-
Freire, please'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0
-
For sentimental reasons I'm going to pick;
Paolo Bettini0 -
Oscar Freire0
-
Boonen for me. Only coverage of the Worlds I've seen so far was the last two laps of the women's race. Boonen will survive those hills.0
