I am trying to resurrect my old Kona Firemountain from about 1994 and want to fit suspension forks. Can I still get forks with a threaded steerer, if so where? Does anyone have old, working forks for sale? I think the steerer is 1" diameter.
Thanks.
Thanks.

You can, but much rarer!
Marzocchi still do some 1inch forks, though may involve a change to a threadless headset.
Look on eby too. 80mm travel max for this frame really.0 -
I might have a set of Judy forks in the loft. I think my Munimula came with the fitted and I changed them for Marzocci as I prefered the colour. I'll have a look on saturday and get back to you.
My Kona is still going strong. Good luck with yours.0 -
are you sure its a 1" head tube?
as My girlfriends 1994 kona hahhana has a 1 1/8th head tube0 -
Best bet would be to replace the headset at the same time, so you can go threadless, much better system.
Also if you're feeling flush, pace did some 1" steerer forks, both suspended and rigid.0 -

Cheers. I checked out that retro Kona site and it is a '94 and I now know the headtube is
1-1/8th. Should make things easier. Thanks for the advice0 -
Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou!!!
I was reading this forum, as I've recently got back into riding and discovered this thread.
Through a link in this thread I discovered a link to my "First Love".

Thankyou. I still see her occasionally, she lives in my dads shed ;-)
I have another HT now. Orange P7 pro. I love her too, but there is something special about your first taste of steel, hard tail.0
