I am planning a sportive next spring based at longleat so that families can spend the day whilst mum or dad ride. I am doing a recce this sunday starting and finishing at the pub at horningsham near maiden bradley called the bath arms BA12 7LY. Hi Roger, I'd be up for a ride if I can get the old garage taken down on Saturday and if I have a bike to ride. Both my road frames have decided to break in the space of a week.

nick I rode it last sunday. its a very fast route with some great descents and not too steep ascents. Looks to be a good season starter.

Nick its the autumn epic this sunday. Hope you've got a bike sorted by then. Good time in the cheddar sportive you boys were flying. killed myself on the first 60 miles in another fast group. It was nearly faster than a race but great fun. I'll probably do another recce later in the winter but put some more hills at the end as its quite flat at the moment.

Still waiting for new frames to arrive....Cheddar was fun if a rather easy until the Gorge, still it was good to get in two days of hard riding...and nice for a change to have some fast group riding.

If I don't get my bikes sorted for this weekend I'll catch up with you on a Tor club ride.

I looks to be another wet one for Sunday.............
