Hope so. Working at home today, which helps. Got to get some stuff cracked off and then i'm away into town.

Had a go at fitting the bike rack on the car last night, but dont trust it. So i'll have to put the seats down and remove the front wheel. Unless I catch the bus in and ride it back :?:

    which one you got?

I would have liked one of the LTD range but the coffers wouldn't reach anywhere near, so went for the Acid.

Have you seen the 09 range? Some gorgeous looking machines. The LTD race looks particularly handsome

Good choice of bike! You have done well to get one this late in the year, not many 08 bikes left now. I think mine sold out with in the first few months of being released.

Bought a Cube LTD RAce only a few months ago! Has really been an enjoyable ride and so easy to climb with and the tecnical bits around Innerleithen XC have been far easier to ride up on it. Its improving my riding so much.

I like it so much was thinking of looking at a Full Suss version next year to replace my Giant Trance 4!

What are peoples thoughts on this?

At a given price, I honeslty don't think the 08 XC cube hardtail bikes can be beaten. Amazing spec for the money.

    Nice bikes Eranu and gthang!

Got back from LBS about an hour ago. Been fiddling with it (the bike that is) in the garage and a quick blast on the street. Put the bottle cage on and computer and now all i'm waiting for a some time to get out on it. Only bummer is- the bracket for my Specialized mini-pump wont fit on the oversized downtube. Will i be able to get a new bracket?
    Anyway, here it is

I got the 85mm rebas extended to 100mm (done by lbs when i got the bike) Just a case of removing a small spacer does not affect warrantee on the frame. (The 09 bikes all have 100mm forks as standard I think)

  • gthang, I've got the Ltd Pro and have been considering 100mm forks (Reba SL's), hows yours been with the extra travel??

I took delivery of the bike with the 100mm modification so cannot make a before / after comparison. I would not want any less travel as once sag is taken into account 100mm fork becomes 85mm(ish)

I guess it really depends if your riding is harsh enough to warrantee the upgrade, have your Tora’s bottomed out? If not then perhaps consider against it, it’s a lot of money for 15 – mm of extra travel. You might be able to get the Tora extended? Worth asking you LBS or Rock Shox / fisher outdoor. My guess is you will be able to get them extended.

The extra height will also slacken the head angel a bit,

They ride as well, if not better than they look.

GTHANG think I will get my LBS where i bought it to take that spacer out and run it at 100mm!

Does anybody ride a full suss Cube, if so what are peoples thoughts?

That was my thought, but if i'm out for just a couple of hours i dont wear one. It might go in the back pocket of my jacket

  • topeak do one with the pump holder fastening under the bottle cage ( using the cage bolts), but I'd put it in my pocket.
