hi all,

i've just taken stock of a scott cr1 with dura ace groupset and wheels. it's mint (second hand and a bargain so i'm dead chuffed!). anyway, i need to change the stem and handlebars as they are too big. can anyone suggest a reasonably priced non-carbon stem and bar combo that'd be good for racing and training? also, being a bit dim, are the diameter measurements for where the stem attaches to the top of the forks standard these days or do they vary? my bike is 2007 model if of any help.

many, many thanks in advance.

Depends on how much you want to spend really, i'm an odd size a 48cm frame is too small but the reach on a 50cm is too long, sooooo, i opted for Ritchey Biomax bars they have a short reach and shallow drop i also use an 80mm stem not Ritchey though as they don't seem to do them, the stem i use is a Truvativ Team, light and cheap.
