i have been rideing a marin hybrid for my cycle to work and have really enjoyed the cycling and step up to the road bike now.i am picking up this week the specialized allez sport, and i am wondering about pedals, seeing as this doesnt come with any.
on my previous bike i have used the standard pedals with toe clips, should i use these or invest in something else? but i dont undrerstand the abbr like spd.
any help or advice really welcomed

Hello mate, this might help

Different aabreviations are just differen types of pedals with different clipping mechanisms etc, also don't worry about not being able to unclip, seems a few on here have had problems but as long as you're aware that you're clipped in then it's not a problem, i havn't had a clipless moment yet (touch wood)winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg
