Inner Tubes

Looking to get some stronger inner tubes for my dads bike.

He has been using the specialized tubes (not sure on the model or if its just one kind) for a while and is getting a load of punctures. This includes 2 today and the valve going on a third within 18 miles of a 25 mile ride thus resulting in a lift home.

I've put this down to his tyre choice - Conti 'Double Fighter?'. Their like a semi-slick but to be fair they don't need changing and there worth getting some more wear out of them.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

  • What kind of puncture are you getting?
  • well today for example there was nothing in the tube nor the tyre, on both occasions. Only a hole in the tube no more than 1mm in size really.

Only exception i can remember is a chunk of class which was still in the tyre. this was a few months ago and on the c2c route underneath the stadium of light. im sure a few on here will know it.
