After nine months of being a Billy - no - mates and training alone, i have taken the decision it is time to come out the cold and join a club. I had my first club run today in over 26 years, and dont my legs know it!
I met up with the CC Giro in Sutton Coldfield. What a great bunch of chaps and ladies. I was made welcome from the very start, they waited for me on the hills, and towards the end when my poor little legs couldnt carry me much longer.
We did an 80miler, with a lunch stop, and it was just a pleasure to be out in such fine weather, and to ride roads/lanes relatively free from traffic.
I will be back after my holidays for more adventures, and i will eventually get to wear pink. How fantastic.

Where do CC Giro start their rides from? The website's down, and I'm looking for a club that's fairly close.0

Cool, it was a beautiful day for a ride yesterday, we didn't do 80 miles though more like 65 race speed most of the way, feeling it today though. :roll:The gear changing, helmet wearing fule.
