Hey everyone.
Being new to this game im looking for a half decent starter MTB. Does anyone own or have tried the Giant XTC range? Am looking at the XTC4.
Are they any good? All comments and feedback awould be most helpful!
Thanks so much.

Seems OK, forks could be better and I'd be a little concerned over the Giant own brand brakes. For similar cash (600ish) you could get a Spesh Rochopper disc with Tora 302 forks and Juicy 3 brakes.
Having said that you could do a lot worse than the Giant, fairly solid brand (and you're absolutely right to be looking at a hardtial for your money and not full suss). It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -

if you have about 200 i would recommend second hand, maybe something like the giant stp, good looking thing and they review well.
try eBay, bikeradar classified and there are always loads of jump bikes for sale on pinkbike.com.0
