southern lakes/ west york ? good rides/recommnedations

anyone recommned any decent trails/off road routes up in the southern lake district or west yorkshire area's ? just got me new bike and wanna test it out :D

    Have look through the South Lakes Groups 2008 Photo Gallery at this link http://www.southlakesgroup.org.uk/2008photogallery/index.html for some ideals, Depending where you live the Settle loop of the Pennine Bridleway may be worth doing!

    Try Ride the Lakes. It's a forum based group and not a club, ie there are no rules or subs, fees or constitutions; but we ride regularly in the South Lakes, West Yorks and periodically wander up to the Stanes.

    All you have to do is join a posted ride, or post a suggestion up of your own, turn up when you say, wait at the top if you are fit, or the bottom if you are fast and that's about it.
