Spinning bike for Winter
Hi im after a spinning bike for the winter months as the wife is now 33 weeks into pregnancy I will have less time to go out, I would like to keep a good level of fitness up to start racing in the summer, Ive come across this one which seems fairly cheap does any one have one or one of the same make, any good?

sorry no experience of spinners. Have you considered gfetting some static warm up rollers instead? After the birth it would assist in the developmeent and repair of the core muscles more quickly as you have to balance. Plus you will be riding your own bike and therefor no comfort issues. If needs be you could put it near a wall for balance.0

How about using a turbo trainer, they can be picked up for less, plus you'll be in the same position as out on the road. You live and learn. At any rate, you live0

I agree, but if you've got your heart set on one then Startrac distribute the best ones. Look for the Jonny G Pro Spinner on their web site. I think they're having a sale on older/previously owned stock. Problem with a good spin bike is they're pretty heavy.'How can an opinion be bullsh1t?' High Fidelity0 -
BTW another plus with turbos is that you can take them to the start of races and get a good warm up.You live and learn. At any rate, you live0

Negative is no core workout or handling training (unlike rollers)0

Spin bikes can be good - but i wouldnt bother with a cheap one. Turbo can be good for hard interval sessions which is what you need if you want to be racing.0
