Campag QS/Escape Ergo levers

Just had a set of these - intended for my road bike - bought for me by my folks to be put up until Christmas, as I spotted a tempting offer from The Bike Factory in Chester; they seem to have drawn mixed opinions on here so have been unsure of them up until now. Aside from the fact that the r/h lever now only shifts one rear cog at a time (probably not an issue for the road riding I do as my only races are TTs), are they OK on the whole for the less serious rider? I understand that the QS feature for the l/h lever still allows a bit of trimming for the derailleur, just not as much as the old pattern, so I think I can put up with that. Any advice much appreciated.

The R/H lever can still do multiple shifts up the cassette, but not down onto the smaller sprockets. There is still enough trim on the L/H lever to overcome chainrub.
I like them, the front change onto the small ring is lighter and sharper though I can't find any difference shifting onto the big ring. They work just as well with the older non-QS shifter as with the new one.0 -
ive got cheapo plazzy xenon qs on my winter/commuter- the rh lever is ok but the lh qs appears to be on a hair-trigger and changes to the small ring when i so much as look at the damn thing!

I've got Chorus non QS on one bike and Chorus QS on another. I can't tell the difference.0
