Hi folks.
Have you ever seen such a blatant turbo-bottle?
Eventually Martin, too, could not keep pace with the German.
So says cycling news... The way I saw it was that that Jens Voigt caught Tony Martin and Martin sat on his wheel, with Voigt unable to shake him off. Then up comes the CSC team car, hands out a bottle and stamps on the gas. Martin is dropped!
Martin then spends the next 20k chasing only a handful of seconds behind - which indicates to me that he could have easily hung on - and would probably be my favourite in a 2-up sprint.
Was it just me> I've seen plenty of assistance by team cars to get onto the back of a bunch, or to drag your sprinter up a climb, but never to actually drop another rider. You could see Martin shaking his head after it happened.
