Richmond Park Spookyness

I've thought long and hard about posting this, and I know I'm opening myself for some stick. I hope you all know me well enough on here to get the impression I'm a rational bloke. But.....
several times I've been lapping in the park and I've got to the section just after the drop off down to Robin Hood Gate where there is that little kink to the left. I've gotten this strong sense that someone was sitting on my wheel, just off to my right. It lasts for 20 to 30 yards and then disappears. I first noticed it about 2 years ago.
It only ever happens when there is nobody else around and never when Im riding in the opposite direction. . I did a couple of laps late this evening (9-ish) and it was there on the first of these and incredibly intense on the second - so much so it was really oppresive.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or am I going round the twist?

It's incredibly easy to get your brain to have a certain feeling in a certain place. You could have, for example, seen a bag blowing along just behind you in the same place a couple of times without realising it, and now your brain associates that place with being followed by something, which as a cyclist you've turned into someone drafting you.
You're not going mad, just a trick of the mind.

crikey sounds a bit spooky mate - my missus is into all sorts of stuff like that. It might be worth emailing Tom Slemen and see if he has any stories about the park itself.
On a lighter note.. You could shout and ask whatever it is to come and do some work at the front...
"God Dammit its been two years and all you do is sit on my back wheel.. How about coming to the front for a change??"0
