I fully intend to chase LCC and to respond to her as well. I'm glad to have at least got a response, but parts of it really annoy me:
"More and more of our scheme designers are themselves cyclists." Whay aren't all of them? Seems a bit odd. I wonder how many roads are designed by non-drivers, ski by non-skiers etc.
"On the Blackfriars Bridge scheme, we worked closely with the LCC representative on agreeing the final scheme." One representative? What's that all about? There should at least be a committee surely? Keen to find out who this representative is.- 2023 Vielo V+1

The whole letter annoys me! It's just so formulaic, doesn't *say* anything, doesn't offer any action.
It's basically 'what is there now is fine, and even if it's not we fulfilled our protocols when we designed it and we're not doing anything about it.'
Such an annoying attitude.
I would be very interested to know what the LCC have to say.0 -
YES it's formulaic but I'm not sure what else you can expect! Absolutely follow it up with the LCC and in truth, their response will be the more interesting one and you may even be able to have a dialogue with them.
And come on, not every bureaucrat involved in every aspect of designing, building and implementing cycle lanes will be a cyclist. Are you going to suggest that the guy who lays the tarmac on a helipad is a qualified chopper pilot?0
