Ok im ready for ther barage of insults im gona get but I can take it.
I decided in my wisdom to dig out an old frame I had living in the loft for a few years. Then decided against it, so went out & bought an identical frame in not so good condition decal wise
I then went about finding bits that i had lying about & from the local tip.
Only bit I actually bought other than the frame were the wheels rested where begged or permantly borrowed.
Got it on the road & some thieving little get knicked my seatpost, saddle & clamp :x
so now have to keep swapping them between my other bike which I need to keep on the road as thats the one the boy goes on the back of.

The boys bike.

We aren't elitist here! I applaud what you have done, inventive, shows good knowledge of how bikes work, and ended up with what looks to be a perfectly reasonable pair of machines.

I used to sell the kona McRae back in 2000, was one of the best value bikes in its class back then, and great frame.

Nowt wrong there! Two functioning bikes for not much outlay. Problems only occur when people claim them (and themseleves) to be something they are plainly not.

  • Full marks for ingenuity - shame about the thieving git though
  • Absolutely that's great to get a couple of working machines going. Keep it up.
If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!
