Easy/trailer-able forest routes - Galloway

Anyone got any recommendations for forest routes that we can tackle with (a) a trailer with a 2 year old in it and (b) a 4 year old on a 12" wheel bike? Parents are reasonably fit! Ideally we're looking for forest roads rather than single-track, without too many radical hills. I've had a look at the 7-stanes website and there seem to be a few routes on there, just wondering if anyone has any routes they've done and enjoyed?

I'll answer my own question in case anyone else is ever interested! We did two "child-friendly" trips on the bike:
1) from Gatehouse of Fleet to Sandgreen there is a very quiet tarmac road (National Cycle route 7) then a good track that is easily done with a trailer and on a very small (12" wheels) bike - see: http://www.multimap.com/maps/?qs=gatehouse+of+fleet&countryCode=GB#map=54.86529,-4.1744%7C14%7C4&dp=904
2) the 7 Stanes mountain bike short green route at Glentrool visitor centre (location: http://www.multimap.com/maps/?qs=glentrool#map=55.07055,-4.54741%7C14%7C4&dp=904) was easy enough for the 4 year old on his bike, and the single-track was trailer-able (if a bit bumpy). And there was a nice swoopy blue for Dad to do in the 40mins when everyone else was drinking tea and juice...0
