Hi. Can anyone recommend a good 28mm tyre for commuting over winter? Thanks.

  • Continental Top Contact Winter tyres are great - very durable - roll reasonably well - and can cope with tow paths, gravel etc.
  • GP 4 Seasons come in 28mm versions.

I use the 25mm versions all year round for commuting and Audaxing.

Vittoria Randoneur - cheap as chips , highly P proof and last for ages
  • I've just swapped over to Schwalbe Blizzards. Brilliant all round tyre - better than Conti 4 Seasons.

Don't know if they have 28 size though.

    +1 for the 4Seasons

  • Hi, I am currently trying out Schwalbe Super Marathons in 700c*28 - so far so good and not too much drag for commuting. £20 each from Spa Cycles.
