Suggestion: preview windows for each post in the forum.

Basically a little preview window pops up when you hover on the title of each post.
Have a look at my Spanish Cycling forum for an example:

It really helps identify if the topic takes your interest or not BEFORE clicking on it as there are so many posts to sort through these days... there's also a lot of poorly worded titles...
You can do this with a simple mod to the forum PHPBB code.
For PHPBB3

For PHPBB2 (go with addit's version on page 2 & no database modifications are needed)
