Morning folks,
Just a quick question if anyone can help: what on earth is that big dial on the handlebars of Rachel Atherton's downhill bike?
Re: the piccies of the recent stunning win on this here website.
Thanks!

Hello Nick,
Yep, that was one, and on this piccy it is on the other side. The cable just seems to hang off. I do not think I have seen anything like that, and my mind is making up all sorts of possiblities. Big easy reach dial, makes sense if you;re crashing down a course at warp 9, maybe for remote suspension tweaks? saddle dropper? Anchor release for really tight corners (a-la batman doing 90degree turns by using lamp posts as the pivot)?
It is probably something banal but I am interested.

it is the resistance contoler for the rollers and it is not on the DH bike
it is the warm-up bike."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

ahem...
At least I know what it is now, even if there is an overwhelming sense of anit-climax
I do apologise to anyone who has spent time looking at this thread which could have been spent acutally doing some work.

Cheers folks!
