Best Mudguards for a Scott Sportster Hybrid

Hello All
I have just purchased a Scott Sportster for communting to work and need some advice/guidance on the best mudguards to get for it.
The only mudguards they had available in the shop I bought it from where pretty wide and more suited to a an mtb and the tyres I have are only 32mm wide so I opted against in the end. The guy at the shop said he is going to order some in and to come back later in the week but I wondered if anyone could recommend somewhere else to get some from.
Many thanks

Try "SKS" mudguards, they do a wide range and top quality, a bit dear but you get what you pay for. Most good shops will sell them. you will just have to check which ones will be o.k for your bike.

You will want SKS Chromoplastic P45 if you have 700C wheels (28-37mm)0

Hi, I also have a Scott Sportster Hybrid too and i bought the SKS mudguards. Be careful if you have disc brakes though, as i struggled to fit the stay [ goes in a parallel line from the mudguard to the hub].
Ii got round this by using a P - clip bracket to hurdle the disc brake mounting. If you encounter this problem give me a shout and i'll send you pics to illustrate how i did it.Commuter Surosa Toledo S34 Audax

Thanks for the replies fellas. I think I will invest in a set of those SKS guards.

fonty1978- I am having a lot of trouble fitting mudguards to my Dr Dew with disc brakes - can you send me the photos you mentioned? You seem to have solved my problem with your P-clip!

Here goes....

As you will hopefully be able to see from the pics i hurdled round the boss with a nut and bolt arrangement and standard metal p-clip which solves the issue.
I wasn't helped by the fact that the disc mounting uses holes which a mudguard would fit into very nicely!! :roll:Commuter Surosa Toledo S34 Audax
