Asked about this on the MTB forum but as yet have not had a lot of joy. I have recently started commuting to college and don't fancy carrying spare clothes or waterproof trousers so was thinking are there waterproof shorts that give decent protection but are suitable to wear all day. Alternatively can you still get bicycle capes? How do you cope with commuting in the rain? Thanks in advance for any bright ideas, recommendations or links.

in my opinion best you'll get are very quick drying shorts or trousers, made of man made material. Mine are endura and they dry very rapidly. I tend to just get wet then change - could you fit a spare lightweight pair in your pack so you don't have to stay wet?
