Hi - I've got a brand new Tortec Ultralight rear rack that I got ages ago, that I now want to fit to my new bike - trouble is I can't find the fitting kit anywhere (we've moved, y'see...). Is it possible to get these fittings separately? SJS has some things that look like they might do the trick, but I'm not sure how specific they are to the particular model/make.

    ooh bugger,

on all the racks I have fitted (2!) both bikes have been a doddle, and all they have required is 4 threaded bolts, as the fixings on the bikes have been designed to take a bolt, and not need a nut.

Also, thinking about it, if you have the fixing points on the rear stays, on the bike that had these, there were already screws in there to use, so it should only be 2 for the lower down fitment you would need?

General DIY store should be able to sort you out.

Any appropriately sized bolts will do - I believe they are M5 size - the Local Bike Shop should have plenty of these, otherwise Stagonset are a good source.
