Thanks for looking,
basically it needs to be suitable for someone who will have only been riding for a few months.

Your help, as always, appreciated!!

www.medwayvelo.org.uk, if you want to travel a little bit further, there is the San Fairy Ann CC, I am a member, but based in Maidstone http://sanfairyanncc.co.uk/. Their are members that live in the Medway towns, and we meet generally in Marden for club runs.

Now I am not sure of what levels Medway Velo cater for, but San Fairy Ann, cater for everyone, with clubs rides for those that manage an average of only 8 to 10mph, to club rides for those that manage over 20mph.

I hope this is of some help.
  • Great stuff, thanks for the reply.

Another vote here for SFACC 8)

As above, you have lots of different groups to test your ability. Very friendly club too, none of the snobbery you sometimes see reported with clubs.

Its a little bit of a trek for you, but I doubt its that much further for you than it is for me (Sittingbourne)
Mind you, we rode out to the Riverside country park in Gillingham for the cafe stop today

This lot are closer http://www.wigmorecyclingclub.org.uk/runs.shtml, but I know nothing about them. I think their pace is fairly fast though, but as I say I don't know first hand
Racing snakes. It's not big, and it's not clever ;)

Are you a member of the SFACC then Panter, I generally go out on the Saturday club runs, with the late intermediates.

    Certainly am 8)

I usually go with the 9:00am intermediates but did the Sunday run today :D

I try to ride every other week with the club, but its difficult with family commitments etc so I've not done very many rides this Year

I'm Chris M on the SFACC forum

  • Thanks guys, you've sold it to me. Once the bike eventually arrives and i've had a month of riding i'll come along. Awesome website, (i've just been looking) if you can pass that back to the organisers there.

See you on a weekend ride soon!!
