Helmet use and political preference

I'm keen to see if there's any correlation between attitudes to helmet wearing (NB I don't mean mandatory helmet wearing) and political leanings. I know a lot of people consider themselves centrists but if they could try to figure out which way they lean, even if only slightly, it'd be helpful.

For these purposes I would consider myself right of centre (actually, am such a libertarian, I should probably just accept I'm right of centre). And I think it makes sense for me to wear a helmet (please don't bother replying to tell me why it's not worth it, I'm perfectly intelligent enough to make that decision on my own without your input). But I would vehemently oppose mandatory helmet wearing.

I'm assuming the centre is a one-dimensional point of infinitely small size so no-one can actually be in the middle :)

I think most people who consider themselves in the middle are either not too politically minded full stop or actually have political views on both sides. In this case, I'd like them to figure out which would be most pertinent to this subject and vote accordingly.
  • I would consider myself to be a syndico-anarchist which isn't included in your poll and my views on helmets are pretty well known.

I only partially wear a helmet

Seriously though, I'm interested to see the outcome, needs a touch more input from the non-helmet wearers though, like some please.

My guess is they are right wing extremists who hoard stockpiles of weapons preparing for when civilisations breaks down and pinky, corrupt govt falls down they can finally go a shoot everyone they hate. At least that's how cyclehelmet.org comes across
