This from Women's Cycle Monthly:
Following his sensational return to pro cycling, Lance Armstrong has revealed even more amazing plans regarding his training schedule. Speaking at a press conference in Austin, Texas, the 37 year old confirmed rumours that he plans to cycle to the moon.
“The rumours are true”, said Mr. Armstrong. “I plan to cycle to the moon. I believe it is the right of every American to go to the moon if they want to.” He continued,
“NASA say they are very busy at the moment but a couple of the people down the road in Houston are going to keep an eye on me. Garmin have also given me a sat-nav.”
When asked to describe which bike he would be riding, Armstrong was sketchy on the details.” I don’t want to give too much away, but the guys at Trek have been doing some R and D and have come up with a bike that’s lighter than air. It’s made of helium gas, and the only heavy bits are the big stickers on the crossbar that say, “Trek”.”
When quizzed about the differences in pressure between the Earth and space, Armstrong seemed to misunderstand the question. “I’m used to pressure”, he replied. “You try winning 7 Tours of France, that’s pressure.” In response to questions about the lack of atmosphere he said he wasn’t worried, as he had “survived a visit to Slough.”
The final question was put by a representative of Astronomy Quarterly, who asked whether Lance would visit the Dark Side, to which a noticeably annoyed Armstrong replied that, “I have never tested positive for any banned substance.”
