Having just watched the highlights, it looks as if he might have been! Came from nowhere.

gutted for the lad from sean kellys team.. He was going so well till he went off the road and used his legs to get back onto the back wheel..

Cracking stage which has opened it all up again after Agritubel looked (to me at least) to have it sewn up. Big mistake letting the Lampre guy get into that break.

Have to feel sorry for Berges having that mechanical which cost him the yellow. Agritubel made the correct call (they are still in yellow) pushing on given Lequarte's second place and I was a little bit surprised that the commentators couldn't figure out what they were up to.

Where did Boassan Hagen come from? He looked well out of it. An incredible finish by the young Norwegian. A future star I am sure.

I understand why we only had coverage of the front two but I'd have loved to have seen how some of the peloton broke away and finished intermingled with members of the break. It must have been absolute chaos.

Was it me or did Ermeti try to take Lloyd off ?

Looked like Ermeti kept trying to get Lloyd to do a turn at the front, lots of flicked elbows, looks around, hand guestures and so on, then because he wouldn't go past he slowed slightly so Looyd overlapped his back wheel with his front, then Ermeti shot sideways and nearly took him off.

Hugh Porter said it looked like Lloyd was so far gone he was struggling to keep upright - but it was Ermeti who darted sideways into Lloyd and not the other way round...
  • I agree that swing did have a hint of maliciousness - I think Dan has a right to be a just a bit agrieved however it all pales into insignifcance relative to young choco-chips hagen das - that was an impressive cancellera 'WTF' is it a bird, is it a plane type sprint from no where.

I have griped about the ToB in previous years but they're starting to get their act together and its starting to feel like a proper race and with stages like yesterdays and todays I reckon it might be heading on up.
