hi all
looking at getting a new mtb, i just sold my GT aggressor and want something new.
im looking for a hardtail... i dont really have any preference for brands... but also have no idea where to start looking... there are so many on line..
id really like to maybe get a 2007 or even 2006 bike because from what i have seen you can get an £800/900 bike for less just because its a year or 2 old...
advice please!
its mainly for cross country and the odd bit of dh.. try and get a few drop offs and jumps in when i can...
thanks

At the top end of that budget, Ive just bought an 08 Felt Q720 which im very pleased with, good all-round setup with 80-100mm lockout Dart2 Rok-shox, Shimano hydro brakes, 27spd SRAM gearset, very solid wheels and kenda tyres... Was £550 but £440-450 in most shops at the moment as it's now technically last years model.
'07 spec Q720
You will no doubt be advised to try the ones you like, Specialized rockhopper will be at the top end of that budget too, very nice frame and solid set-up. Others will know more than I, so await the other replies0 -
Leisure Lakes have some '08 B-17s in medium for £629 if you fancy treating yourself or how about an '08 Hardrock Pro or a Rockhopper ?0

The Genesis Core 10 is inside your budget. Reasonable level of kit and gets some good reviews
