Why do they seem to make the run in to the finish line a little dangerous. Ok i have no idea what the run in of todays stage was like, but lets take the Newbury finish. They must have been a better way of getting into the town centre than the way the race went. Looking on Google Earth they could have carried along Western Ave & swung onto London Rd then onto Park Way which i think is where the finish line was.

Im off to watch the finish in Stoke tomorrow and looking at the finish of that stage the run in looks good up untill the last 150 meters where it make what looks like a nasty right hand turn down a narrow one way street just so the race can finish bang outside the Town Hall.

Why not just finish 200 meters shorter on what looks like a straight wide bit of road still in the City Centre, does it really have to finish bang outside the Town Hall.

  • Probably most dangerous for Wiggins if as he says he 'hasn't been out of pub' since getting back from China!

how many gold medals does it take to be a loser?

He's probably only in the race as it's good publicity for Columbia. If he was making this a target race I'm sure he'd have prepared a bit differently.
