I wouldn't mind doing it, anyone got any route info?
  • I'm doing it.
I've put my name down for the 100 mile loop.
It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I'm not so sure!!!!!!

    Thanks for the invite.
I'd like to join you, but I've got previous commitments.
I may sneak a couple of hours in early morning, but I'm tied up after that.
I'm looking forward to the event, I just hope that I can get round o.k..
Let me know how you get on on Sunday.

Sunday was ok had a bad head wind on the way out 3 of us went weather was overcast dry but the roads over the tops were very wet and very exposed to the wind. we managed to get round in 6hrs 2 mins ave speed was 6.7 mph. Once you climb out of Slaiburn its quite a flatish Route. Most of the Hill seamed to be packed into about a 10 mile section.

Look forward to seeing you on the day
    Chris
  • Chris,
    Thanks for the info.
Looks as though I need to step up the training!
    See you on the day.

I've also entered this and just wondered, and it may be a silly question, is it clockwise or anti-clockwise round the course?
  • Its Clockwise up towards lancaster 1st

is this fully marshalled?or route have to be negotiated by ones self
  • It has marshalls and signs
  • So how did every one do 5hrs 54mins for me fist 100Miler back
  • 6hrs 16mins for me.
Quite happy with that for a first attempt.
Someone told me I was 4th back, but I'm not sure about that.
Do you know any other times?
  • I know the second place came in at 6hrs 2mins and my club mate came in about 5 mins after him so you could be right. We must have past you on the road at some point what bike were you on and what Kit????

We were in the lancs road club colours did you see us
  • I was on a black/silver Giant TCR carbon frame.
I had a blue Adidas gilet on and a white/blue Giro helmet.
I don't think that I ever got in front of you at any point, but I remember seeing the red/white kit that you had on.
I stopped in Slaidburn for about 15 mins and then had a very brief stop at the second feed station.
I enjoyed the day (even though it was hard work) and will definitely do it next year.
