Focus 2009 Range
Looks like Focus have put their 2009 range on their german website:
http://www.focus-bikes.de/bike_choice.a ... =1&rub=rac
Looks Good - I hope the 09 Cayo comes in at under a grand! Would love to upgrade from my 08 Cayo under cycle2work!!!!

Yeah - am quite impressed with all the paint jobs!!!
Should be roughly the same - although the Pound against the Euro and rising cost of materials won't help.
Will be interesting as for a lot of 'cycle2work-ers' with a £1000 limit this is a default choice for maximum bang for your buck!0 -
no fixie yet though!0
-
I noticed the Variado Expert has been downgraded from Ultegra SL to 105, so if you're looking at buying one now's the time to do it....0
-
Look ok. Not too sure if I like the new looks but I guess at least there seems to be a lot of choice. How many Cayos?!
TBH I prefer the simple looks of the current Cayo, although am glad to see the new one has Ultegra chainset.
I am guessing they will be a bit more expensive. I expect the standard Cayo will hit at full retail of £1200 but may not have the usual 17% discount for a while.0 -

Not sure that the new one warrants upgrading from an '08 version? You could add the bits the '09 version has for not much money?0 -
True!
But if i get a new one I can flog the one I've got and trick the new one up with some Ritchey Carbon pieces!!!0 -
the cayo pro red looks nice. Comes in a compact as well0

What is this then??

Looks like the fork has a brake hole in it too0 -
Just a thought.
Will ALL of those bikes be available in the UK through Wiggle or just a selection??0 -
I am guessing it will be a selection. I expect only a few will get left out though, more than likely 3 or so Cayos as there seems to be a few too many to choose from!0

Got my 2008 Cayo about 4 weeks ago on the cycle2work, first roadbike ever after 18 years on MTBs! I am loving it.

Thomson X2 stem
Thomson Elite post
FSA K carbon bars
Ultegra chainset (didnt like the Elita)
Dura Ace wheelset (very nice)
Pro2 tyres
Specialized Team Toupe saddle
Specialized bar wrap
Very very impressed now, a very light bike sourced stuff new ebay and here and got the lot for under £500, loving the bike.Colnago C60 SRAM eTap, Colnago C40, Milani 107E, BMC Pro Machine, Trek Madone, Viner Gladius,

Got any pics??0 -
Good work - getting all those upgraded for 500!0

will get some pics up. Went out this evening for a 30miler making the most of the last rays of 'Summer'. Yes I did well with my bargain hunting
Thomson Stem £38.44 PBK
Thomson post £44.50 new Ebay
FSA K Force bars £48 Ebay
Dura Ace 7801SL wheels £175 classifieds
Ultegra SL compact £50 unused classifieds
Michelin Pro2's on the wheels!
Team Toupe saddle £61 Ebay
Keo Carbon pedals CRC
chuffed, what a bike for the dough. Went to my LBS and they gave me the cold shoulder I am not surprised as they could not match the bargain/spec of the Focus with Cervelo, Bianchi and Spesh. I like all those bike manufacturers but get a distinct feeling you are buying a brandname aswell.Colnago C60 SRAM eTap, Colnago C40, Milani 107E, BMC Pro Machine, Trek Madone, Viner Gladius,

Doesn't look like Focus are going to be the bargain they were in 2008!!!
I found a 2009 focus cayo on a German website for 1799 euro which is about 1400 quid...

Shame...out of my c2w budget!!!0 -
-
i've been keeping tabs on the 08 izalco team thats just been reduced to £2430 from £2700... alot of money but for the spec seems a good deal... and if your after a 56cm wiggle have had 5 in stock for about 3/4 months now... i reckon as soon as they get rid of the only 52cm they've got that may well come down further0

How come the Focus TT bikes prices never seem to drop all year round?0

Hi guys,
here's a few sneak peaks from the 2009 Focus range I just put up on the bloggle:
http://www.wiggleblog.com/2008/09/22/new-2009-focus-bikes-sneak-peak-with-pics/
If you have any questions put them through as comments on the blog and I'll see what bits of info I can sneak out!0 -
The Cayo Ultegra is a great looking bike.
I'm very interested to see how much the Cayo Expert Campa is going to be as I'm currently torn between the Wilier Izoard Pro and the Trek Madone 5.1 Performance, so depending on how much the Campa is going to be will depend on how hard it will be to make my final decision!!0 -
If these are the only DEMO bike they are showing at Earls court i'll be a bit disapointed.
I was kinda hoping to see a couple more of the Cayo range in the flesh.
I am so tied between Cayo Expert Red, Bianchi Chorus 11s Compact, Condor Italia and a Willer. Of course it will also depend on the prices.0 -

Don't worry they are just a couple that caught my eye. We plan to take as much of the range as we can so hopefully 95% of the UK 2009 Range will be on show.0 -
Steve@wiggle, are you able to tell me when the release date for the 2009 bikes will be?
Thanks0 -

Not yet I'm afraid. Keep an eye out on the site, bloggle and emails as all the information will be coming out soon... Or pop along to Cycle on 10th-12th Oct where you can see them in the flesh!0 -

Any chance of a 50% discount if we pre-order in the flesh
Oh well worth a try0 -
