Kinesis Maxlight XC or Inbred 456?

Hi!
I'm torn between these 2 frames (also never rode steel before) for aggressive trail/singletrack use, initially with a 100mm fork. I understand that would be too steep downhill for the Inbred due to its head angle (although the price is great)?
On the other hand, the Kinesis is really light (and about 1kg lighter than the other), but would it take that kind of riding (i.e is it strong enough)?

The standard inbred would be better with a 100mm fork. Both bikes would cope with that sort of riding very well.

Hi! Thanks for this (again!). By 'standard inbred' you mean the red 456, right? As opposed to the summer season, I guess.

Has slightly different geometry which suits the shorter fork better, and a lighter set of frame tubes.

Of course could put a Uturn fork on the 456. Looks born for the new Revelation 110-140mm fork!

At £125 for the summer 456 you cant go wrong really. With a 100mm for, it'll be steeper than mine which is at 130mm. But its cheap, strong, not too heavy and rides really well. Even with the fork at 130mm the front end sticks to the floor pretty well on some steep climbs.

Huh! Didn't even know about this one! Thanks... I plan on using a Reba race fork initially.
