Best Wheels for the money

Hello.
I used to do a lot of cycling but have been out of the loop for a number of years. Now I want to get back to it and build a decent road bike. I'm not going to be racing or anything but like most people I would like to experience a great ride for my money. Can anyone suggest some really good wheels for between say £200-300. I like the idea of something fairly lightweight because I want to to a bit of climbing but would also want something sturdy because I want it to last and I'm not as light as I used to be at about 190lb. although I intend to lose some of that once I get back to the bike.
Any recomendations. I've looked at Mavics. What do you all think?

Thanks.
Can't find much about Ambrosio wheels/rims. Where did you get yours.0 -
I, too, am in a quandry as to which wheels to get. Many seem to think that Mavic Open Pros on ultegra/dura ace hubs are the dogs danglies.0

Yes that does seem to be what people say. I had a pair about 12 years back but I'm not up with what's going on these days.
How do they compare with say a pair of Mavic ksyrium equipes for example?
I'm not even sure how much open pros would cost to have made up.
Anyone know? with decent spokes on ultegra hubs?0
