what size chainring?

What size chainring front and rear would you recommend for dirt jumping and 4x. bearing in mind i do sometimes have to ride my jump bike to my local spot. i'm Getting a Dmr saturn ring if that helps?

24" MTB 55/24=2.3 36/16=2.25
This means that a 36t chainring used with a 16t sprocket on the back wheel will give a ratio of 2.25, which is pretty close to the guide ratio of 2.3
You could run a 32t chainring with a 14t sprocket.
32/14=2.28
Which is also close to 2.3
