Mr Goss wins.

Asthma-Jet still in yellow

In keeping with tradition, riders complain about dangerous finish.

Wiggins lost more time.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Probably can't wait to get away to Garmin.

It wouldn't be the ToB without dangerous finishes :P

The Garmin leadout train drags yet another competitor to a stage win. They look very impressive but just don't seem to have anyone who can seal the deal.

Much better coverage from ITV4 tonight I thought.

Yeah I thought coverage was better today. How big is Stannard - he looks massive !
  • First post for me on here. Tally ho!

Does anyone actually know who does the coverage/production for the tour? I assume it isnt actually ITV cameras out there?

    Edit:

Going by the first stage thread it seems as though a few people have had a moan about it already.

Anyone in the South West going to see it tomorrow ?
I'm sneaking a couple of hours off work and trying to catch it on Staple Hill

Compared to continental finishes, Newbury High Street looked decidedly dangerous even from the helicopter shot. Quite a contrast to watching the finish of the Vuelta. I just don't think the continental pros are used to racing on such narrow roads - it's probably quite a culture shock for them.

Is there no live coverage of this? I read that ITV were broadcasting via interactive but theres no sign of it on the listings?

Leaskovski - isnt it in the titles at the end ?

Cant see that ITV would be broadcasting this live - thats gonna cost lots and for a v small audience to be honest.

The finish looked dangerous even by ToB standards. No wonder the riders were complaining.

I don't want to compare it to the Tour of Ireland yet again, but that race managed to combine narrow streets with safe finishes.

Bear in mind though that there were parts of the lap on the ToI final stage that I know are quite dodgy and would have been a disaster IF there was bunch finish, but they were never shown on TV.

  • It's Century TV doing the production btw.
