Specialized 2D Helmet

Been using Giro Xen for a while and always get really hot and sweaty under the helmet - very bad... but I sweat a lot anyway. Thinking of buying a Spec 2D helmet (prompted a little by the recent helmet thread). What do folks think? In particular, whats, the ventilation like? Better than the Xen?

Any other options I should consider?

Definitely better ventilation than the Xen, and lighter too. Not as much coverage over your head, but for average trails this isn't really a problem. Maybe have a look at the Giro E2, Met Veleno?

Change in tack after looking at many reviews. The coolest it seems is a roadie helmet, Giro Ionos, so I've bitten the bullet and ordered one :shock:
