Posted it already in the Mtb forum, just in case here goes. Gives you more tokens for the lbs!
Not too widely advertised, think it is to cover the wear and tear/cost of powder.

I knew about this some years ago and IIRC this is for a company uniform, ie branded work clothing, not jeans and sweatshirt or shirt & trousers you wear in the office as these items of clothing can also be worn out of work whereas branded workwear is work specific cause of the branding, ie an embroidered badge or similar.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Everyone knows this in the land of OZ...It's the oldest trick in the book!
But you have to provide receipts if it's more than a few hundred bucks a year.
I always claimed by science labcoat. :twisted:0 -
I fly a plane for a living and we get a flat rate tax allowance for a variety of things, including dry cleaning our uniforms.
The uniforms are dry clean only and we are specifcally not allowed to wear them outside the work environment (unless you want to be Walter Mitty).
No receipts needed. I think our union negotiates it.
I think that if you want to claim it, then the clothes have to be only suitable for your work. As said earlier jeans and t-shirts would not qualify as you could wear them in your own time.0
