Rain Rain Rain in the Holme Valley Marathon

What is this rain all about!!!!
Im doing the holme valley marathon in huddesfield on sunday and i dont no what tyres to run, i ride a hardtail stumpjumper and at the min i use Panaracer Cinder Sports on the front and back, i'm happy with the cinders as an all rounder.
But i was thinking of putting a Bontrager Mud X on the back as this would be better in this wet weather. iv been told there not the best on wet roots and rocks, but great in the mud. iv not done this ride before and dont really know the terrain so and help would be great.
so i guess id also like peoples opinion on weather to choose the allrounder or the mud specific.

I did the ride too - mud, rocks and knee deep puddles! How did you get on?0

Yer it was all good fun i did ok, im still fairly new to these events its the second one ive done. i did it in 3hrs 13mins. How did you do?
Im going to enter the calderdale one too, do you know of any more similar events?0
