Bike lights

Well after all the threads of late id just thought to mention the arrival of my mte c bin p7 torch, now they say these are 900 lumen max but most reviews say it's more like 650, a lot of companies stretch their rating too far anyway.
I have a 30 degree 35w lumicycle, naturally they are overvolted so it's more like a 42w in terms of output.
There is very little in between these two lights, the lumi has more spill but i can imagine a lot of that being wasted, i also see some dark spots and halo's but that would be down to the bulb and not a fault of the light.
The mte however, heck im impressed, the lumi is very yellow, the p7 is damn bright, white has a good spill and a nice sharp cut off so you know where it stops throwing light, no halo's or rings except in the middle it is brighter, a plus point should i wish to aim it further.
All in all for £22 with £20 for the batteries and charger im damn well impressed, I will do some indoor shots later as the camera is currently on charge.
Deal xtreme for the torch and ebay for the protected ultrafires and charger.
Still can't believe how much light one emitter is throwing out lol.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Right here we go, the camera makes the lumi appear a lot better, it actually has a bit more spill and looks a damn sight more yellow.
The mte pic is out of focus as the camera was overcompensating, ive tried to get it approximate, i certainly prefer the torch.

Yeah it's a good site, have to watch what you're buying and delivery is painfully slow as they never tell you if the item is out of stock until you ask, like i did.
I saw from reviews the throw of this light lends itself well to biking, i wonder how many cars will flash me.
If you do order one stick with the 2 mode, the 5 mode one uses crude resistors which actually lowers the total amperage on any given mode, a fe people have shorted them out so they can get more brightness.
Ive seen the enduro maxx light in action so i have a good idea how bright it compares to others.
And always use protected ultrafires, they fit the best and have the least problems, important as this torch only runs on max for about an hour on lithium 18650 batteries, after that it gets progressively lower. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
