Hope you've packed your waterproofs and wellies. I was there a month ago and it rained a lot and the trails can turn into rivers.

That said it was fantastic. Might also be worth popping into Cwmcarn while you're there, it's only 30 mins back down the M4.

If you need a good bike shop while you're in the area would be worth checking out Tredz in Cardiff or Swansea (I used the Cardiff branch and was very impressed with the stock and staff).
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

    At the Mash-up?

Anyway be carefull at Afan tommorrow the we've got serious weather warnings for South Wales. Penhydd and The Wall are best for very bad weather as they have the most cover. White's has a covered climb but the descents (the black run especially) is very exposed and should be tread with care in very bad weather. It's on a steep side that faces the sea and gets BATTERED in bad weather. Other than, still don't let that put you off though. The trails are awesome. They don't tend to wash away, but they can sometimes become little streams, ha ha.
  • well im back and in one pice (sortoff)
had a amazing time despite the bad rain on friday, managed to have a go on all the major trails!
if you havent been then its well worth going very good trails, very friendly and helpfull people.
had one slight off on the black run but apart from that and a few punchers no problems and buy the end of our time there i found myself riding harder and jumping :D faster than i ever thought i could!

and if any1 was there on sunday i was the one walking around with a leg covered in blood! (it rearly wasnt as bad as it looked though!)
