Online Route planner anywhere?

I am just about to start commuting to work for the first time on a road bike.

Quite looking forward to it. It will be approx 36 miles, there and back. Mix of quiet rural roads to a longish stretch of busy "A" road over the Kincardine Bridge, Fife.

Not much in the way of climbs along the route, more of a few gently rolling ascents here and there.

Been looking online for a route planner to give me an idea of time and distance along a few different permutations of said route.

Tried the usual ones, AA, RAC etc, but they seem more geared up for cars etc.

Are there any online route planners for cycles?. I've got a Tom Tom One, would that be any use to use to take a gander at routes to bike on?. 8)

I like toporoute.com - don't know if it'll give you any time ideas but it does show elevation maps which is really cool.

Bikely .com you can share your route with others and search for routes in your neck of the woods too.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
