Cranks and rims question

I'm toying with getting Campag pista cranks for my project build... Now given these are intended for track use will nasty weather mess em up?
Also I've got some phil wood hubs and I need some classic shiny rims to complement them... does anyone have any suggestions (I'll be removing the decals from them I don't doubt)
thanks in advance

I use Campag pista chainsets all year round, autosol, mer and elbow grease seems to keep em happy0

Since these cranks are anodised, there's not much point in using a metal polish like Autosol. Just keep them clean and use a wax polish for added protection.0

Wouldn't it be dependent on age, mine are older ones and must have been polished in the past, because they really do shine with a bit of elbow grease0

I guess your cranks must have had the anodising removed. Apparently, except for the very early version (c. 1958-1960):
(note the area around the spider to crankarm "joint") Campagnolo cranks were anodised, including almost all of the 151 BCD ones (pre-73 for track).
All my pre-1985 Record cranks, both road and track, are anodised.0
