  • I keep seeing a guy in Richmond park with a front light, barrell shaped with three led's in the lens. It seems to strobe, with some of the led's remaining constantly on. Is very effective in catching your eye if you're driving.

Anyone on here able to have a punt as to what light it might be?

    exposure joystick???
I am going to get this fenix light when winter comes then. It will be paired up with a Blackburn Quadrant on my Giant SCR2 as front lights.
That's a good combo. Fenix are great to see by (I have the tiny 1 AA version and it's fantastic) but hard to see from oblique angles as no light is shed from the sides. The Blackburn will stand out well in traffic and at junctions. My cateye has failed so I've gone for the dynohub+ B+M IQfly which is awesome. I still carry the fenix as a backup in the bottom of the pannier as it is so versatile.

Yes, that's what I though. I will have a Smart 1/2 watt 3 Led + CatEye LD170 at the back too, that plus reflectors on my wheels and clipless pedals should do the job for the winter and nights I hope. I will also have to reflective with leds armbands from Edinburgh Bicycles ....

    What do you guys reckon?

  • Got a new fenix tk20. Which is a nice colour so everything doesn’t look so black and white at night. Also only two modes which saves fafing 40 lumens to save the car drivers and 150 lumens for being alone in the woods with owls

Always carry a proper cycle light on my as well for being seen and all round beam. Having two fronts lights means you can swap and change batteries if the worse happens. Never understood the point of generators as doing this seemed easier (and the fenix is brighter than the generator light anyway)

On the back I have two common all garden red leds as well for the same reason that one should always be working.
