It’s a what size question I'm afraid but not quite the normal one so please bare with me.
I currently ride a Marin Quake in small below are the sizes off their website:
Head Angle
66 degrees
Seat Angle
68.5 degrees
Top Tube
554mm
BB Height
53mm
Stand Over
790mm
Wheel Base
1123mm
Chain Stay
457mm
Seat Post
31.6mm
I am looking to buy a specialized SX trail frame and am trying to work out which frame would be best but am confused by the two Top Tube size... I think I still need the small frame although I’m not sure as I may be a little tight on my Marin... I know the quake is quite big for its size but on paper if I’m reading it right the SX is basically the same reach in small and identical reach in medium.
Hopefully SX size guide below...

This may sound obvious but u should find a dealer near u that stocks Spesh bikes and try one for size.
Is there an Evans store near where u live? they carry a big range of spesh'es and actually sitting on a bike will give u much info than a million opinions on here about what size u should buy.0 -
Thats the trouble there is no good shops for over 2hrs from here. The closest I can get to a specialised is a lower end trek so it makes it real hard. Sort of hoped that as the frame I already had suites size wise it would make it easier to compair and swap.
Oh well I best try to find one and get driving! My trusty steed...
