Hi guys !
For the last few days i've been thinking about building my own bike from scratch and i was wondering if someone could give me some advice on which frame would make a good starting point ? I would be looking for probably a second-hand frame with a price range of about £50 - £100 (i would prefer brand new but i'll be working on a tight budget)
The bike will be used mostly for commuting a few miles to work and possibly some trails , therefore i was thinking of a mtb frame that i could chop-and-change tyres to suit.
Forgot to mention that i have not done anything like this before so any other information that you could give me would be more than welcome

Watch the classifieds here and on STW until you see a suitable frame come up for sale.
You should easily get a serviceable frame for £50. For £100 you should get a good one.0 -
This is probably a really stupid question but , could you tell me what STW is please?
Like i said i'm a complete beginner to all of this  :oops:0 -
Single Track World.
Nice to build a bike up, but always works out more expensive.0 -
Just bought a new bike in May (Cube Attention) so i don't think i'll bother telling the wife about the "More Expensive " bit .0
